[This beautiful poem was written about / to me by a woman who inspires me greatly, of many talents and "hats".]
"She made magic.
She didn't try.
But that is where her beauty lies...
In her words,
She changes the course of the wind
And shifts perceptions of seismic proportions.
I'd call her a warrior
But that could not contain her.
I'd say she's a chanteuse
But that would leave so many more questions.
I'd say she was an artist
But that would be like calling her by her name.
It's already understood.
Instead I will call her a Goddess.
She is a Creator
She cultivates gray matter
With the same passion as she does the green of the Earth.
(Kat, Happy Belated Birthday, Beautiful!)"
My hand painted Barbie doll
"I painted her to appear more lifelike, including freckles,
textured lashes, full brows and body parts .
Yes, I used myself as artistic inspiration so in a way she is a 3D self portrait."

Of the entries you'll see on this page, many of them are artistic representations I handmade using my favorite quotes from old letters and past conversation. It began as an assignment and has grown into a habit since. There are also photos of the actual letters and photographs as well.
Letters to the author
Some of the most impactful, inciteful and beautiful written or gifted sentiment to me from loved ones, colleagues and strangers (fellow travelers of the world). I cannot call many things "mine", but these memories are more precious than all the 'fine things' of the world to me.
